This blog is me, trying to get you, ( and helping myself ) understand chinese people, and culture through the games and other stuff that they do. The name of my blog is xiangqiness. I named it that because of the game xiang qi, also known as Chinese chess. This is a short(eighteen minute)game of chess. Enjoy. The black side wins. That's the side I'm playing. You can find people all over crouching over crudely carved pieces made of wood. They play on the daily newspaper board. Here's a video of me and one of these people.
